I didn't like small intros for Windows. Because I couldn't watch them under Windows.

"Warning"
"you need the d3dx9_25.dll"
"Will not run everywhere :-( Sorry"
"only run on XP"
"2GHz"

Before holidays I had old computer, small Win prods ran horrible, if any, usually didn't close graphmode, shit from speakers, crashed totally poor Windows98, very unclean. DOS intros with much better effects work excellent on much worse computers. Small Win ones are clumsy and languid. And their small size is illusory - big OS foundation, big using of code from DLLs, big importance of packers. I asked myself if there is sense in hard size optimizing in this environment. Coders like Auld, Rbraz or Taj give the answer: yes. On new computer I can watch all of them without problems, I see their beauty and coders' craft. But, in my opinion, this is new, DIFFERENT 1KB category. 1KB(DOS) != 1KB(Win), also 4KB(DOS) != 4KB(Win), that's all. And asked for 4KB intro I always will think about "Mesha" and "Addicted to Code" first, about "Parsec" and "Micropolis" in next moment.

So, we have here next 1KB Win intro, really cool. Congratulations, Rbraz, I wish 256B hard-intro will be next from Codigos. And can you tell us something more about new group (empty website as yet)?

Yes Pirx, I agree with you - (1KB(DOS) != 1KB(Win)) & (4KB(DOS) != 4KB(Win))

With OGL we can do things that no one tried before in DOS mode, you know, coding similar effects like this one in DOS mode would be a pain...

This intro have some nice features:
5000 3d cubes (particle system), camera rotation, fog effect, light effect, 32 bits color depth, high resolution, windows compatible sound effect and a little bit of oldshool style :P

Quoting Auld here, "There just aren't many people doing this...oh no wait, maybe thats a good reason to try." and I truly believe in that.

About the new group, it's like your group (Ind) Pirx :) , one man coding small productions, in my case - below of 4kb. The website will be updated when I got some free time.

The next prod will be... (top secret :P )

Many thanks everyone
