Man, even if I'm not a big fan of cracktros (unless they are coded in hardcore Assembler and have below 1KB of size), I want to say that I really like and appreciate your work here. I hope you choose the most famous classic prods for converting. I don't have access to my old 400MHz computer from here, and I can't check working these remakes on the "oldskool" hardware. It's interesting, I think they really should be smooth there. Can you answer me about it?
And maybe after each two or three remakes would be cool to write own cracktro?

Well, thanks Pirx! I know how demanding you are in terms of coding so I really appreciate your comments!
I remade some of the famous ones on the Amiga, yes. This one is very famous because the so-called "Leader" (Paranoimia) misspelled the game name: Turicon instead of Turrican. The whole amiga scene laughed at them because of that.
Regarding the smoothness on Amiga, it was there by nature. All these intros (and most of the games) where written and assembler and all on sync with the video signal (VBL). With a refresh rate of 50 Hz (PAL) and 60Hz (NTSC), the visual experience was amazing. On the top of that the main CPU (Motorola 68000) was given huge help by specialized chipsets like the "Copper" and the "Blitter"...
Regarding my own prods... yes they will come... jut a bit of patience ;)

Thanks for fast and datailed answer (although I have asked about remakes' requirements, not original ones).

oh ... sorry.. my mistake...
here it's all C and OpenGL, C-written MC68000 emulator with Paula chipset emulation (Amiga sound chip).
The emulator runs the replay routine for the music, written in MC68000 assembler (taken from Amiga). OpenGL display is on synch with the VBL, hence the smoothness (unless you disable that through the driver).. I hope this answers your original question..
